It's same old funny little things monk does with the supporting cast returning to the scene as well. Considering this movie one would think why wasn't this done before but the timing was perfect to light up Monk for at least once more with his unique character. Great work by the cast, especially by Shalhoub never missing a beat of Monk's persona. Visual effects were a reminiscent of the tv series. Great background music. Despite the title many viewers might want to see Monk working on those cold cases for sure.
